SWIMMING IS FUN

Montauk or Manhattan, we live on an island... we should ALL know how to swim. The importance of being amphibious is one whose merits are clear for anyone who has spent time in or around water. Water is healing, nurturing, invigorating, and water is, as Da Vinci said, “the driving force of all nature.” Our goal is to teach you how to become a stronger and safer swimmer while fostering the respect, care, and love for all of earth’s waters. Do good by yourself and others by learning one of the most useful, entertaining, healthy, and essential human abilities that will stay with you for life.

 
- SWIMMING LESSONS -

Swim sessions are taught in calm bayside waters 
or oceanside depending on ability and conditions. 
This allows students to have a natural swimming experience, boundless movement and lap space, and 
to become more in tune with natural surroundings 
and real-life swimming situations. If your preferred environment is a swimming pool, SURFLUCA can 
also travel to your pool or public pool.


        For all ages and abilities:

           - Develop an understanding of water, ocean currents, and safety
           - Build confidence and enjoy being in and under water
           - Learn to tread water / swim in place
           - Learn to float calmly for resting and catching your breath
           - Learn to unify breath and movement for maximum efficiency
           - Learn diverse swimming stroke patterns and styles
           - Acquire tips and techniques to increase speed and endurance
